Director Meera Kathiravan apprentice one of the greatest writers of our time, the lohith afternoon. For the same reason, the seals are all tangible lohith Aval peyar Tamilarasi (hereafter APT) - a tale of love and redemption set in the rural setting of Tirunelveli, between a girl and a boy bum affluent. Not that we have a lack of love stories, treatment history and highlight the mellifluous narration deserves a special mention.
The shot APT poetically unfolds without hurry, the pace of a slow moving train and often tend to feel like a passenger train accompanied by a mid-afternoon. The feeling is immediately recognizable to the end of the film before the film has more or less open by itself making it easy to deduce the final.
Aval peyar Tamilarasi
Singers bum belonging to the community Tholpavai Koothu visit a village, Kotter Mangalam, in Tirunelveli district. There is a girl in the group who befriends the wealthy grandson of the village chief. After their performance, when it came time to sing the faction to leave, the wealthy grandson persuades his grandfather to make them stay behind. Your wish is granted, the family is packaged in a girl's house and sent to school. His (Jai and friendship Nandagi) develops and when they reach their final years of secondary education, they are already in love.
Nandagi faints with good grades, while Jai is failed in the exams. Spurred on by advice of his friends, mocking, Jai feels insecure and gives the extreme step. He rapes Nandagi and triggers a series of incidents of life change. As a result, Nandagi mother dies and she is sent to another family vagrant in Maharashtra, now that she can not continue their studies. Soon enough, repents, Jai and embarks on a journey to find his whereabouts.
The Jai-faceted, shows that he is in the process of preparing to become a well-rounded actor. Be it to express their affection and love for Nandagi, implacable anger that it is wrong or his penance and demand that will likely lead to her love of life, Jai tells us that he can bring in complex emotions in his face at the drop of a hat. Nandagi is a revelation and the physical carrier of the character greatly.
On the flipside, the film is thick with dialogue and a lack of activity tends to slow down, resulting in bringing an art-house feel, it's not a bad thing, if the cause of the protagonist's search was more than anything seeking repentance for his offense - he brought with him during one of his weakest moments. This is because we stopped caring for it, which again is the strength of character, the way it is written off. However, a little more editing could have helped to reduce portions of the movie dull.
Average Vijay Antony fund receives top marks and Otha Vaartha number Sollu is soulful. P.G. Muthaiah camera brings the Tirunelveli region to life and feel the film is greatly enhanced, thanks to the brilliant cinematography.
After scoring with a gift, Meera Kathiravan may want to consider a lighter subject in his next adventure - and the right to their view of women end up losing their dignity and ending up in brothels and places (although for a shorter period in this one) after they are raped.
