Directed by Sekhar Kammula, ‘Leader’ is getting ready for release on February 19. Rana while Richa Gangopadhyay and Priya Anand are making their debut as hero and heroines with this film, which is being produced by M Saravanan, MS Guhan, Aruna Guhan and Aparna Guhan under the banner of AVM Productions.
Sekhar Kammula says, “If we have to get ‘Happy Days’ we need a good ‘Leader’. The story of this film was born out of this thought. The film explains the difference between a common politician and a ‘Leader’. There will not be any fights, nor there is a drop of blood in this film and the entire movie had lots of emotions. Mickey J Meher gave special music for this film. How Rana performed had to be seen on the screen.”
Rana says, “I can’t expect a better film than this for my debut venture. My role in this film is of Arjun Prasad. I have tried my best to perform well in this film. One thing I can say for sure is that Sekhar Kammula has directed a great movie.”
Tagore Madhu bagged the release rights across the country. Kota Srinivasa Rao, Suhasini, Tanikella Bharani, Subba Raju, Ahuti Prasad, Gollapudi Maruti Rao, Suman, Harshavardhan, Rao Ramesh, Udayabhanu and others are in the cast.
Lyrics are by Veturi, cinematography is by Vijay C Kumar, editing is by Marthand K Venkatesh, art is by Thota Tarani, choreography is by Swarna, costume designing by Aravind Joshua, while story, screenplay, dialogues and direction are by Sekhar Kammula.
